Joe Corsello, Drummer, is praised by audiences, peers, and critics alike. He did classical studies at the New England Conservatory and studied jazz at Berklee College of Music with Joe Hunt and Alan Dawson.Equally at home in the studio, club concert, or clinic setting, Joe has toured extensively with such jazz legends as Benny Goodman, Peggy Lee, Marian McPartland, Gerry Mulligan, Zoot Sims, Gene Bertoncini, John Scofield and has performed with Chris Brubeck, Joe Beck and Ali Ryerson, Mark Morganelli and the Jazz Forum All Stars, Don Freidman, Houston Person and Etta Jones, Richie Cole, Roberta Gambarini, Roy Hargrove, and Larry Willis. He co-founded the group New York Mary, which traveled throughout the country and recorded for Arista Records.Joe is a member of the Percussive Arts Society (P.A.S.) and is an experienced drum teacher and clinician. He is the author of "Count One : A Modem Method for Young Rock and Jazz Drummers" published by Kendor Music. He is on the faculty of the Young Artists Summer Jazz Workshop and is a clinician for Avedis Zildjian Cymbals.A Stamford, Connecticut resident, Joe can be heard on numerous recordings including those of Jack McDuff, Marian McPartland, Sam Rivers, Barry Miles, New York Mary, Benny Goodman's last released recording in 1999 and Richie Hart.In 1999 Joe founded The Music Box, a music school in Stamford, Connecticut offering free music lessons to inner city youth.
