Early in her career, Brandi was supported by jazz legend Oscar Peterson who compared her to his late bassist Ray Brown.  Hailing from Vancouver, Brandi began performing as a teenager with her mother, a jazz organist/pianist originally from Chicago.  She has recorded with Hank Jones, Renee Rosnes, and appears on the Smoke Sessions Records under saxophonist/bandleader Vincent Herring.   Brandi's 4th album "Blue Canvas" features Harold Mabern and Joe Farnsworth showcasing her sultry voice, innovative compositions, and her healthy respect for the bottom.
