Russian Jazz pianist Leo Volskiy uncompromisingly follows the old good jazz tradition - the purely acoustic sound, the swing, the entertainment and the naturalness. As a student of legendary jazz pianist Barry Harris, he has long established himself as a solid bebop pianist. Among the big names in the New York jazz scene, with whom he has shared the stage in recent years, are the best and world-renowned New York jazzmen. The Trio Album "Good News Blues" with legendary Rhythm Section (John Webber - bass, Joe Farnswoth - drums) released 2012. “It’s a solid, well-grounded, no-nonsense affair in which the young Russian pays tribute to the greats of the bop and post-bop eras-men like Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, Elmo Hope,Tommy Flanagan, Hank Jones and Barry Harris” (All About Jazz, USA)
