Bridget Kearney is a New York based bassist and songwriter with a diverse musical palette and a focus on jazz, folk and world musics. She has performed in festivals and clubs across the United States and abroad, appearing in Shanghai, China with Jeremy Udden, at the Panama Jazz Festival in Panama City with Carmen Staaf and Richie Barshay and throughout the United States with her touring bands, Lake Street Dive and Joy Kills Sorrow. She is the 2005 Grand Prize and Lennon Award recipient in The John Lennon Songwriting Contest for Lake Street Dive's "Sometimes When I'm Drunk and You're Wearing My Favorite Shirt." Kearney is a graduate of both Tufts University (in English Literature) and The New England Conservatory (in jazz) where her studies with such artists as Dave Holland, Danilo Perez and Dave Douglas inspired a diverse and unique mix of musical influences in her.Weblinks:www.bridgetkearney.com/
