Based out of New York, guitarist Ricardo Grilli, has been called "one of the best original talents I have come across." and “Evocative, ethereal, and eclectic... Grilli [hits] that sweet spot somewhere between post bop and the avant garde.” – (Brent Black, Critical Jazz) and "Excellent... Can't stop listening."(Steve Greenlee, Jazz Times)." From a musical family, Ricardo relocated to the Boston at 22 to attend Berklee College of Music. Since then he has released his first record "If On A Winter's Night A Traveler" to critical acclaim among the NPR's Francis Davis Critics Poll in, Jazz Station Poll in the category best guitarists. 
 
Since relocating to New York continues to make an impact in today's jazz scene and has performed or recorded with notable artists such as Chris Potter, Chris Cheek, Aaron Parks, Joe Martin, Eric Harland, Jason Palmer, Billy Drewes, Rich Perry, John Scofield, Orlando Le Fleming, John Escreet, Matt Clohesy, EJ Strickland, Colin Stranahan, Julian Shore, among others. He also frequently performs at some of the world's most renowned clubs both in the USA and abroad like: The Blue Note, The Iridium, Scullers Jazz Club, Smalls Jazz Club, Cornelia Street Cafe, The A-Trane (Berlin),The SideDoor (Connecticut), The Rex (Toronto), JazzB (São Paulo, Brazil) and many others.

His next record "1954" features Aaron Parks, Joe Martin and Eric Harland and it's anticipated to be one of the great records of modern jazz guitar.
