Exciting and experimental while maintaining an association with the roots of Jazz Reviewer: Christian Parkess, Jazz Improv Magazine Full Circle is a thoroughly enjoyable recording which reminds us that the impact of the pioneers of the modern Jazz of the 1960's and '70's is still felt today, and that there are people like Bill Stevens and his Quintet out there keeping the music alive by pushing it ever further.

This band has sunk roots into Miles' second great quintet. Reviewer: Dan Greenblatt, The Blues Scales It's cool to hear thoughtful new music growing out of those roots. The band sounds comfortable and fluent blowing on this material and I can hear that the band digs where you are taking them.

A very sophistcated approach to jazz composition and improvisation Reviewer: Mike Kaupa This CD is a must have for anyone who enjoys fresh, original jazz composition and improvisation. This is not, however, music that is not well rooted in the jazz tradition. Bill Stevens has created a personal style of writing and playing that is built on firm roots, as well as his previous work.
