New Orleans-based clarinetist Evan Christopher returns to Mezzrow, NYC, the best listening room in the West Village. A duo with gifted stride-piano specialist Ehud Asherie specialist, will celebrate the birth anniversary of Louis Moreau Gottschalk, the New Orleans pianist who ushered in a new era of American music by imbuing his compositions with virtuosic uses of rhythms from his native New Orleans. Two shows at 8pm & 9:30pm (doors at 7:30 pm) have limited seating. Advance reservations highly recommended.
