Began playing professionally at age 14. Attained a Masters Degree in Piano at Queens college studying with Sir Roland Hanna, Harry Pickens, and Kevin Bales. He has toured throughout the US and Europe performing at Jazz Festivals including Montreaux, Berlin, North Sea, Umbria, JVC, Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa, and Jacksonville Jazz festival. Roy has worked and/or performed with Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, The Artie Shaw Orchestra, Doug Wamble, Herb Harris, Buddy DeFranco, Marcus Printup, Bunky Green, Dr Eddie Henderson and others.
